Summer Camp

Horse camp gives children a good understanding of what is involved in owning a horse in a safe and supervised atmosphere. Activities include learning to tack and un-tack your horse, taking care of your tack, grooming and clipping, riding every day, learning the basics of horsemanship, a craft session, quiz bowls, breeds, and much more! We end the camp week by having a pizza and pool party for all the campers and junior leaders to enjoy!

GVS Horse Camp
Cost: $250 ($100 deposit must accompany student's application.)
"Family Rate" - $400 (for 2 children from the same family)
Camp runs Monday through Friday from 9am – 1pm

GVS Drill Camp
For Intermediate/Advanced riders only. Must be approved by trainer. This is a camp focused primarily around learning a drill team routine and performing it for an audience. A drill team is a pattern performed by several horses/riders to music. Drill teams are known for keeping in step, working well together and looking good. Being a member of a drill team is fun and challenging, but it requires a lot of dedication from each member. It teaches control, teamwork, precision . . . and it's a lot of fun!
Cost: $125 ($50 deposit must accompany student's application.)
Camp runs Tuesday through Saturday from 9am – noon

ASTM/SEI certified helmets, long pants, and hard-soled boots with a heel are required. Grace Valley will supply helmets if needed.
